Light Fm is a Christian radio station streaming 24/7 on the internet. It is owned and operated by the Communications department of the South England Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, under the direction of Pastor Richard De Lisser, with operational management by Mike Johnson.

Our purpose is to bring you music and programmes that provide “Inspiration for the Soul.”

Station Director, Mike Johnson said; “Our name is an expression of our purpose. We recognise that there are people who are going through situations which to them represent dark days; we want to bring some light into their lives; to show them an alternative and better way. Jesus said He’s “the light of the world” and that’s the light we will be presenting. Our name also indicates our approach to programming, in that they are fair and balanced and presented in a way that is easy on the ear.”

Step into the Light

Light FM seeks to offer opportunity to those who are involved professionally or studying media. Openings exist for radio production, presenters, and technical support. If you are familiar with sound recording and editing in MP3 and WAV, your skills will be appreciated.

For musicians, there are opportunities for you to create Station IDs and programme jingles. Typically, these will be anything from five to 30 seconds in length. Whichever area you are interested in please contact Mike Johnson in the first instance. You can submit your music or info by email.

Statement of beliefs

• The Bible is God’s inspired Word to mankind; we fully accept its divine inspiration, authority, and sufficiency.
• There is one God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, to whom equal honour is due.
• The Lord Jesus Christ – God the Son – died on the cross for our sins, and rose again from the dead.
• Christ ascended back into heaven, to represent us before the Father.
• He will return for his own, at a time not revealed.
• Man is sinful; he cannot save himself by good works.
• You must be born again, by accepting that Christ died for you; and be quitted of your past sins.
• You have two choices – accept God’s provision for you and live for ever, or reject it and face eternal death.
• Christians should be baptized by immersion, worship their Saviour, and seek to lead others to him.
• Salvation is a gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
