In answer to your question regarding their songs not mentioning Christ’s name but sing about love because God is love. The question is what are we called to do. We are called to be a witness of Christ Jesus and this should be reflected in everything we do including song. Many secular bands, groups and solo artists sing about love, many people show love but that does not mean that they have Christ in them. Many Bebe & Cece songs (both as solo and duet artists) can be taken either way which can leave too much to interpretation. I think that there should be love songs but also there should be worship songs that mention Christ. When they sing “you” or “He” they could be refering to anyone; but glory is only to be given to God and i think that he has and is still doing enough for us to mention him. Just by hearing their songs, can you tell if they are gospel artists or not ??
